Submit Your Application

Welcome to the Data Mine to Storyline Championship. Students wishing to participate in this competition must complete and submit their registration applications no later than April 26, 2024. For students wanting to compete in a team, please designate a team captain, and have your captain submit the initial application and provide the contact information of all additional team members. Teams may consist of up to three members. All required documents must be submitted no later than April 26, 2024, for a team to be considered eligible to participate. No late applications or team alterations will be accepted after the registration closes.

Transcript Validation & Resumes: All team members will be asked to submit a copy of their current transcript as proof of enrollment at an academic institution. All members must also submit a copy of their most current resume detailing any work, job, or club experience they may have.

Project Proposal: Teams are asked to submit a proposal detailing an innovative idea surrounding workforce data, generative AI, cyber workforce, and/or jobs and labor statistics that benefit hiring managers and job candidates. Project proposals will be reviewed as a method for team selection as we gauge a team’s creative thought process.

Additional Documents: Students may submit additional documents with their applications, including writing/project examples, statements of interest, and letters of recommendation.

Team Sponsor: Teams are asked to provide information about a team sponsor for this competition. Sponsors will be responsible for watching over the progress of a team’s work and the integrity of their actions. Sponsors may be but are not limited to, past or present professors, advisors, or individuals who have held a role of authority over students and can vouch for the work ethic of a team and its members.

Teams selected for participation will be contacted after the application closer of April 26, 2024, with instructions outlining further steps required by team members and specific details about their assigned tasks. The competition will officially begin on Monday, April 29, 2024.
